Up next, right backs.
Listed below are some of the most promising young right backs in the game. This time round I had to up the OVR threshold to 75 – with it set to 73 there are only about 8 RBs with potential over 80 (and OVR 73 or lower, obviously). Furthermore, I have listed the players by cost, with the cheapest at the top of each sub-group (players are grouped by potential). Since the winter update RBs are not cheap, so in most cases you’ll have to be prepared to shell out a bit in order to get the player you want.
Here are my recommendations:
- Nathaniel Clyne
- Nenad Tomovi?
- Matteo Darmian
Nathaniel Clyne has received a nice little potential boost since the update, bringing it up from 82 to 84. He is speedy, has excellent stamina and is very good going forward, so he’s a must if you like your full backs to make plenty of forward runs. He’s only got 1 year left on his contract, so get him before his wages rise once he signs a new contract.
Nenad Tomovi? represents the other side of full backs – defensive minded ones. He is very strong (he starts with strength 84) and reads the game very well. He’s also good in the air, so expect him to chip in with a few goals from set pieces.
Seeing as RBs have become very expensive since the update, I thought I’d include a cheap one – Matteo Darmian. His low price doesn’t take away from his potential of 80, and for that amount of money I don’t think you can really go wrong. Like Tomovi?, he is a defensive minded full back, so sign him if your back line needs a bit of shoring up.
Please bear in mind that these figures may not be exactly the same on your game. These stats are taken from my own personal experiences, but are likely to be very similar to those on your own game. The best thing to do is to make sure you keep checking these players, as their prices may drop radically after a while.
