You’re probably wondering why there’s been a delay in getting new content up onto FIFA Scouting Tips. I know there’s been a bit of a break in the articles, and for that I have to apologise.
At the moment I am studying for a postgraduate degree. A postgraduate diploma in journalism, to be precise. The workload is, as you might imagine, very high. I am on campus all day, then work all through the evening. Unfortunately, this means I am having difficulty fitting in work for the website at the moment.
Believe me, I hate that this is the case. I love this site as much as anyone, I’ve seen it grow and watched as people from all over the place come here for advice or to share their experiences. I hate to see it neglected.
At first I tried to incorporate it into my degree work, which requires that we run a journalistic digital website. I hoped that I would be able to bring new content types to the site such as news writing or more feature-driven pieces. In the end, I realised that this was not what people come to FIFA Scouting Tips for. I was worried that by posting that sort of material I would alienate you, the readers. Nevertheless, the course mandates that I run a website that publishes that sort of content, hence the creation of The Next Level Gaming.
The bad news is that this is a particularly heavy week in terms of my workload. The good news is that I will hopefully have some more time in a week or two to resume posting on here. I appreciate that this is not ideal, and once again I apologise for that.
I also have a backlog of about 150 comments. I try to respond to every comment I receive and offer advice when I can, and it will take quite a while to get through these. So if I haven’t responded to you yet or your comment hasn’t appeared on the site, please don’t worry, I promise I will get to it as soon as I can! Because I used to get a lot of spam on the site I have had to make all new comments go through moderation (this doesn’t include replies to previous comments). So if your comment doesn’t appear at first, you haven’t done anything wrong, it’s just waiting for me to get to it.
Anyway, posting, along with replying to comments, is likely to be sporadic whilst I have so much work to do. I am really, really sorry for this. I just ask that you bear with me, because I will get around to doing more stuff as soon as possible! Following the FIFA Scouting Tips Twitter or Facebook pages, or subscribing to the blog (which can be done on the right-hand side of the homepage), will at least keen you informed when new content does go up. As I said, I will endeavour to make sure this as soon as possible.
Thanks.
Alex
